Đối với nước thải sinh hoạt: nước thải sinh hoạt được xử lý theo hai cấp:
+ Cấp 1: Nước thải nhà vệ sinh được xử lý cục bộ tại các công trình ( nhà ở, khu thương mại, khách sạn, chợ…) thông qua bể tự hoại (ba ngăn) rồi thải ra mương thoát nước chung của khu dân cư.
Bể tự hoại được thiết kế theo mẫu của Viện Tiêu chuẩn hóa - Bộ xây dựng. Dung tích bể được tính toán thiết kế phù hợp với lưu lượng nước thải. Các bể tự hoại tại mỗi công trình khi cần thiết được hút định kì bằng xe vệ sinh thông tắc cống.
Nước thải chứa dầu mỡ, chất tẩy rửa được thu vào đường ống riêng rồi chảy ra mương thoát nước chung của khu dân cư.
+ Cấp 2: Nước thải sau khi xử lí cục bộ được dẫn về trạm xử lý nước thải tập trung đạt TCVN 6772: 2000 (mức B) rồi thoát ra mương thoát nước chung của thành phố.
Trạm xử lý nước thải tập trung được thiết kế dựa trên các căn cứ sau:
- Lưu lượng nước thải: 890m3/ngày
- Yêu cầu về mức độ xử lý: TCVN 6772:2000 (mức B)
- Nơi tiếp nhận: hệ thống thoát nước chung của thành phố
Do nước thải sinh hoạt đã được xử lý qua bể tự hoại sau đó đưa về xử lý tập trung vì vậy chúng tôi đề xuất xây dựng hệ thống xử lý nước thải tập trung của khu đô thị mới, với lưu lượng nước thải 890m3/ngày, thiết kế hệ thống xử lý với công suất 900m3/ngày theo biện pháp sinh học hiếu khí kết hợp lắng lọc bằng các modul hợp khối. Hệ thống này được ghép lại bởi 03 modul, mỗi modul có công suất 300m3/ngày. Tiến độ xây dựng khu đô thị đến năm 2014 nên sẽ xây dựng từng khu đô thị một.
Nước thải sinh hoạt từ các nhà liền kề, biệt thự, khu nhà chung cư được xử lý riêng lẻ ở từng bể phốt 3 ngăn,sau đó được gom về hệ thống xử lý nước thải tập trung của toàn bộ khu đô thị.
