Ngoài các nước trong khu vực Đông Nam Á, một số quốc gia và vùng lãnh thổ khác trên thế giới khách du lịch Việt Nam không cần xin visa trước khi đi du lịch. Dưới đây là danh sách các quốc gia bạn có thể đi du lịch không cần xin visa (hoặc xin visa trước).



Để đi du lịch hoặc công tác nước ngoài bạn cần hai giấy tờ quan trọng là hộ chiếu và visa. Cho đến nay, Việt Nam đã chính thức ký thỏa thuận miễn visa (thị thực) với 78 quốc gia trên thế giới. Nhưng trên thực tế thì chỉ có hiệu lực với hộ chiếu ngoại giao (HCNG), hộ chiếu công vụ (HCCV) hoặc với những người có hộ chiếu phổ thông (HCPT) dành cho những người làm ở bộ ngoại giao, đại sứ quán Việt Nam ở nước ngoài và các tố chức quốc tế khác.

Tuy nhiên, các quốc gia Đông Nam Á và một số vùng lãnh thổ khác trên thế giới miễn visa cho khách du lịch Việt Năm đang dùng hộ chiếu phổ thông hoặc áp dụng chính sách visa on arrival tại cửa khẩu với thủ tục nhanh gọn.

3. Lào: Nếu muốn nhập cảnh hoặc du lịch đất nước Lào xinh đẹp bạn cần có HCPT với thời gian lưu trú không quá 30 ngày. Nếu muốn nhập cảnh trên 30 ngày bạn phải làm thủ tục cấp visa trước đó, thời gian tạm trú được gia hạn 2 lần, mỗi lần không quá 30 ngày.

4. Campuchia: Campuchia cũng miễn visa cho khách du lịch hoặc người Việt mang HCPT với thời gian lưu trú không quá 30 ngày.

5. Philippines: Muốn nhập cảnh hoặc du lịch Philipin bạn cần có HCPT có thời hạn trong vòng 6 tháng và vé máy bay khứ hồi hoặc đi tiếp nước khác. Với thời gian lưu trú không quá 21 ngày.

6. Myanmar: Để nhập cảnh vào Myanmar bạn phải có HCPT còn giá trị trong vòng 6 tháng với thời gian cư trú không quá 14 ngày. (Hiệp định này đã có hiệu lực từ ngày 26/10/2013).

7. Indonesia: Tất cả mọi công dân Việt Nam có hộ (HCPT, HCNG, HCCV) đều có thể dễ dàng nhập cảnh vào Indonesia mà không cần visa, với thời gian lưu trú không quá 30 ngày. Và không được gia hạn.
