Mỗi năm các quốc gia trên thế giới

Mỗi năm các quốc gia trên thế giới đều phải hứng chịu các thiên tai do nhiên nhiên gây ra, các vấn đề về lũ lụt, hạn hán, bão, động đất... đều có thể được dự báo trước nhưng con người không thể nào tránh khỏi. Các quốc gia đều thành lập uỷ ban phòng chống thiên tai để ứng phó kịp thời mọi thiên tai xảy ra, giảm mức thấp nhất thiệt hại về con người và tài sản. Ở Việt Nam, hàng năm đều có các cuộc diễn tập lớn để chủ động và phòng tránh thiên tai xảy ra bất ngờ. Thiên tai ở nước ta xảy ra chủ yếu là những cơn bão, lũ lụt.... khi chúng xảy ra chính phủ sẽ kêu gọi mọi người ra sức giúp đỡ các vùng thiệt hại do thiên tai, tiếp tế lương thực, tặng một ngày lương, huy động sức người và sức của để giúp đỡ họ. Ngoài ra chính phủ còn đề ra các biện pháp phòng tránh lũ lụt bằng cách cho xây dựng các đê bao, di chuyên người dân vào khu an toàn để sinh sống, thông báo sớm các cơn bão để người dân tìm nơi trú ẩn an toàn.
