Theo ước tính thì tổng số công nhân Việt Nam đi lao động ở nước ngoài trong năm 2003 sẽ lên đến 70.000 người. Trong đó, 4 thị trường lao động trọng điểm là Nhật Bản, Hàn Quốc, Indonesia và Đài Loan.
