Dự án đầu tư mua sắm trang thiết bị y tế đảm bảo quy mô bệnh viện đa khoa tuyến huyện 850 giường của 06 bệnh viện đa khoa huyện (Bệnh viện đa khoa huyện Vĩnh Lợi, huyện Hoà Bình, huyện Phước Long, huyện Hồng Dân, huyện Giá Rai, huyện Đông Hải); có khoảng 731.393 người trên địa bàn 6 huyện hưởng lợi trực tiếp từ dự án.
Đặc biệt là đối tượng hưởng lợi trực tiếp từ dự án đa sốlà người dân của vùng sâu, vùng xa, một bộ phận lớn người dân tộc (dân tộc Khmer) của tỉnh được hưởng lợi trực tiếp từ dự án.
