Trường hợp thời hạn bảo hiểm cho TSTC hết hạn trước khi Bên thế chấp hoàn tất nghĩa vụ tại Bên nhận thế chấp thì Bên thế chấp có trách nhiệm bổ sung hợp đồng bảo hiểm tái tục/mới và chứng từ thanh toán phí bảo hiểm cho Bên nhận thế chấp chậm nhất 02 ngày trước ngày hết hạn bảo hiểm của TSTC. Nếu ngày hết hạn bảo hiểm là ngày thứ bảy, chủ nhật, nghỉ, lễ thì ngày hết hạn bảo hiểm sẽ là ngày làm việc liền trước ngày thứ bảy, chủ nhật, nghỉ, lễ.
