FDI first 6 months of 2014 fell 35% yoy, to USD 6.85 billion. Attracting foreign direct investment despite a sharp decline, but not too worried by the FDI to the same period in 2013 was assessed as significant growth (21.6 billion dollars) in the presence of FDI in recent years. However, this partly explains the low attractiveness of Vietnam in the eyes of international investors.
