Hội An đã được Unesco công nhận là di sản văn hoá Thế Giới trong kho tàng di sản văn hoá của nhân loại. Mong rằng, trong tương lai Hội An sẽ trở thành "Đô thị sinh thái-Văn Hoá-Du lịch" phát triển, giàu bản sắc dân tộc, hiện đại nhưng đậm chất nhân văn và bền vững.
