REPORT
CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT CONCENTRATION
NORTH BASIN SAIGON I
CAPACITY 139.000M3 / DAY
1. Overview research range master plan
in 1999, HCM has done research on rain water drainage systems and sewerage of the city with the collaboration of the Office of International Cooperation of Japan. The project has divided the area into nine regions City sewer drainage basin individually and north of Saigon I (SN-I Zone) consists of 9 wards in Thu Duc District. The project to build the wastewater treatment plant for the area north of Saigon I aimed at upgrading public sanitary system, the living conditions of people in the region while ensuring the sustainable development of the City.
Tasks of the project:
Construction plant wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 139,000 living m³ / day for North Saigon I.
Construction feeder pump stations at Highway 13 (14 m³ / min), Kha Wall Scales (41 m³ / min) and at the delivery Kha Van Can - Ngoc Van (68 m³ / min).
The scope of the project:
9 wards in Thu Duc District, HCMC: Linh Dong, Hiep Binh Chanh Hiep Binh Phuoc , Tam Phu Linh Chieu, Truong Tho, Linh Tay, Binh Tho, Tam Binh 2.324ha area.
Some areas of the city is expanding rapidly without the development of infrastructure. This is the cause of the uneven development of the economy and the increase in the population of the City, especially as it affects urban drainage systems and sewage treatment systems and wastewater. Domestic sewage and industrial wastewater with a capacity of 139,000 m³ / day and more pollution load was 139,000 kg BOD5 daily discharge of river and canals of the basin north of Saigon 1 without a process any reason. Pollution load that causes severe degradation of water quality and water quality in rivers and canals. Water quality in the channel at the point Mr. Oil 137 Highway 13 is 279 mg / l BOD 5. Water quality may be worse than the 300 mg / l BOD5 if analyzed in the dry season along with some other locations in the project area. Moreover, waste is usually disposed of into the canal and drainage system of the area from the squatter houses along the canal, maintenance dredging work is not effective for more drainage canals exacerbate the causes of water pollution and odor is unbearable, seriously affecting the quality of environmental sanitation of the people living here.
The priority of the project is determined based on the aspects needs / interests and planned corresponding to each area of HCMC. The demand / interest is governed by population density, land use and general pollution load. The plan includes development capabilities of drainage systems including construction of sewage treatment plants (STP), to upgrade the existing sewer system collection and processing capabilities.
The speed of industrial development - modernization of the regional rapid SN-I, also makes the water environment will become increasingly severe pollution if all the countermeasures to the development environment is not done properly. Therefore, the system upgrade sewage treatment and waste water and the management of the basin north of Saigon 1 priority for attention than other areas of the City.
2. The status of the project catchment
population
of the region's population SN-I, Thu Duc district about 226 201 people in 2006 (see Table 4.2). SN-I area in Thu Duc District, HCMC. HCM is seen as new urban areas. Hiep Binh Chanh Ward has the largest population of 46 182 and Tam Phu Ward has a population of 18 659 people at least. Population density in the region in 2006 was 98 persons / ha. Population density gradually increased about 98 people / ha in 2006 but still lower than the city center. The population increased rapidly in the years 1997-1998 and remained low for more than 7% from 2004 to 2006. The rate of population growth medium kept at 7% within 10 years (see table 2.2), People No. 2020 would reach about 500,000 people. Depending on population development plan City Center's 2020 study, a population of about 550,000 is expected in 2020.
