I have many friends but my best one

I have many friends but my best one is Mai. Mai is my neighbour. She is at the same age as me. We are also studying at the same school so we usually go to school together.
Mai comes from an educated family. Her father is a school principal. Her mother is also a teacher. It’s the result that she is punctual, well-behaved and hard working. She is honest, obedient and has a gold heart, too.
At school, she always gets good marks and is usually at the top of her class in examinations. All the teachers have a high opinion of her. Thus, she makes her parents very proud of her.
Unlike most girls, Mai likes playing sports. She enjoys taking part in outdoor activities very much. She is also fond of pets. She has a lovely cat and a puppy. She patiently feeds them and looks after them with care.
She is a very helpful girl. She usually helps others solve their problems and mine as well. Whenever I am sad and feel down, she comes and erases sadness. She always stands by me and inspires me to stay stronger. I feel very lucky when having such a friend. ^^
