3. Phạm vi và yêu cầu chức năng
a. Phạm vi
Phần mềm quản lý học sinh THPT này là một phần mềm quản lý cơ sở dữ liệu ở mức một trường THPT vừa và nhỏ.
b. Các yêu cầu chức năng.
 Quản lý:
• Quản lý học sinh bao gồm: Tiếp nhận thêm học sinh mới, sửa thông tin học sinh đã có, xóa học sinh ra khỏi cơ sở dữ liệu (trường hợp bỏ học, thôi học).
• Quản lý khối lớp bao gồm: Quản lý tên lớp, sĩ số học sinh tối đa trong một lớp, số lượng lớp trong một khối.
• Quản lý điểm số của học sinh: Nhập điểm môn học, tính toán các điểm như trung bình môn, trung bình học kỳ, trung bình năm.

 Tìm kiếm:
• Tìm kiếm thông tin học sinh.
• Tìm kiếm điểm học sinh.

 Báo cáo:
• Xuất danh sách học sinh (tất cả, theo lớp)
• Xuất danh sách điểm học sinh.
• Xuất báo cáo tổng kết theo môn.
• Xuất báo cáo tổng kết theo học kỳ.
• Xuất báo cáo tổng kết theo năm.

 Thay đổi quy định:
• Thay đổi tuổi tối đa, tối thiểu.
• Thay đổi sĩ số tối thiểu, tối đa của lớp. Thay đổi số lượng lớp của khối, tên của lớp.
• Thay đổi số lượng môn học và tên môn học.
