Đối với các nghiên cứu về cơ cấu chi tiêu của các quốc gia, do đặc tính tương đối đồng nhất của xu hướng chi tiêu của các hộ gia đình trong một quốc gia nên các nghiên cứu sẽ có điều kiện để đi sâu vào phân tích các ảnh hưởng từ những cú sốc kinh tế tới cơ cấu chi tiêu. Nghiên cứu của Anastasij Avilciņa et al (n.d.) đã xem xét cú sốc khủng hoảng kinh tế thế giới 2007-2008 đối với cơ cấu chi tiêu của các hộ gia đình tại Lativia và phát hiện ra rằng chi tiêu của hộ gia đình tại Lativia có xu hướng thu hẹp do thu nhập bị thu hẹp, trong khi đó dư nợ của các hộ gia đình lại tăng lên nhanh chóng. Trong khi đó Christine Gerstberger & Daniela Yaneva (2013) cho thấy tác động của khủng hoảng kinh tế thế giới tới chi tiêu hộ gia đình có sự khác biệt rõ rệt ngay trong các nước thành viên EU. Ngoài ra, một số nghiên cứu khác cho thấy tác động tiêu cực của những cú sốc khác như lạm phát tới cơ cấu chi tiêu của hộ gia đình (Besa Muwele et al, 2012)

For the study of the structure of expenditure of the country, due to the relatively homogeneous characteristics of spending trends of households in a country so the research will have to go deep into the analysis of the influence from the economic shocks to the spending structure. Research by Anastasij Avilciņa et al (n.d.) has reviewed the shock the world economic crisis of 2007-2008 for the spending structure of the household in Lativia and discovered that spending by households in Lativia tend to shrink due to smaller income, while the residual debt of households increased rapidly again. Meanwhile Christine Gerstberger & Daniela Yaneva (2013) shows the impact of the world economic crisis to household spending have distinct differences in the Member States of the EU. In addition, a number of other research shows the negative impact of the shock to inflation, such as the structure of household expenditures (Besa Muwele et al, 2012)

Meanwhile Christine Gerstberger & Daniela Yaneva (2013) shows the impact of the world economic crisis to spend households differ markedly within the EU member states. In addition, several other studies showing the negative impact of shocks such as inflation to the structure of household spending (Besa Muwele et al, 2012)
