Kỳ Đài
Hay còn gọi là Cột Cờ, nằm chính giữa mặt nam của kinh thành Huế thuộc phạm vi pháo đài Nam Chánh cũng là nơi treo cờ của triều đình. Kỳ Đài được xây dựng vào năm Gia Long thứ 6 (1807) cùng thời gian xây dựng kinh thành Huế. Đến thời Minh Mạng, Kỳ Ðài được tu sửa vào các năm 1829, 1831 và 1840.

Năm 1803 vua Gia Long xây dựng Đốc Học Đường tại địa phận An Ninh Thượng, huyện Hương Trà, cách kinh thành Huế chừng 5 km về phía Tây, trường nằm cạnh Văn Miếu, mặt hướng ra sông Hương. Đây được xem là trường quốc học đầu tiên được xây dựng dưới triều Nguyễn. Đến năm 1908, thời vua Duy Tân, Quốc Tử Giám được dời vào bên trong Kinh thành, bên ngoài, phía Đông Nam Hoàng thành (tức vị trí hiện nay).

Điện được xây dựng vào năm 1845, thời vua Thiệu Trị với tên gọi là Điện Long An trong cung Bảo Định, phường Tây Lộc (Huế) làm nơi nghỉ của vua sau khi tiến hành lễ Tịch điền (cày ruộng) mỗi đầu xuân. Đây cũng là nơi vua Thiệu Trị thường hay lui tới, nghỉ ngơi, đọc sách, làm thơ, ngâm vịnh.
