There are many factors which may influence your choice so below are some tips for you. First of all, the time usage is a big difference between the two options. You may waste a lot of time commuting between school and home and that means you have less time to spend with your friends or club. Moreover, you cannot go home too late or else {otherwise} your parents will be angry. But if you look on the positive side, you will use your time more efficient because your mom probably will control your computer and TV time. On the other hand, if living away from home, you must live near the school or right in the dorm so that you don't need to waste a lot of time traveling to school. But the worst point is that you might waste a bunch of time doing nothing. For example, surfing the internet, reading the BBS, and chatting with friends make you stick to the computer for the whole night but leave you feel empty. Another point of difference is the allowance. While living at home, the allowance will be least than students who live outside. Since you eat at home, drink at home and sleep at home, your parents will give you little money because they think you don't need to spend so much. In contrast, when you are far away from home, your pocket money will be more because your parents will worry whether you may run out of money and starving. Even better, all the money is under your control. Though having many contrasts between the two options and the same part is you can still enjoy a great and wonderful college life no matter where you live.
