Để ước lượng và tính toán sai lệch trong REER, bài báo này sẽ sử dụng các cách tiếp cận dưới góc độ về lý thuyết kinh tế học vĩ mô và kinh tế lượng. Bên cạnh đó, các kỹ thuật kinh tế lượng trong bài báo này dựa trên các nghiên cứu thực nghiệm của Việt Nam và thế giới về lĩnh vực này. Tuy nhiên, để phù hợp với tình hình kinh tế Việt Nam hiện nay, chúng tôi đã bổ sung thêm một số biến số khác cùng với các lập luận và cơ sở lý thuyết chặt chẽ nhằm chọn ra những biến số kinh tế quan trọng để đưa vào mô hình
