To achieve this goal, an extensive literature review was conducted to understand the barriers to total implementation of quality management. This was followed by a survey of the industry award winning quality in India. There are a total of 41 completed questionnaires were received and the overall response rate was 31%. The findings of this study show that total quality management barriers most important industry in India is "no benchmarking of the company's other practices" and "capable staff resistance to change ". Factor analysis of 21 potential barriers to total implementation of quality management are disclosed in the following basic structure: lack of customer orientation, lack of planning in terms of quality, the lack of participation of total , lack of management commitment, and lack of resources. These findings are based on empirical research will be a solution to the difficulty of managers when implementing effective quality management of their industries.
