To achieve this goal, an extensive document research has been done to understand the barriers to the implementation of quality management. This was followed by a survey of the industry winning quality awards in India. A total of 41 completed questionnaires have been received and the overall response rate was 31%. The findings of this study showed that total quality management barriers the most important industry in India is: "there is no benchmark of the company's other practices" and "employee resistance to change". Analysis of factor of 21 potential barriers to total quality management to be revealed in the following basic structure: customer orientation lack, lack of planning for quality, lack of involvement, lack of management commitment, and lack of resources. The findings are based on this empirical research would be a solution to the difficulties of the managers when implementing quality management performance in their industries.
