Các bài thi của Cambridge chính là những bước tiếp cận thật căn bản và vững chắc để các em có thể đạt được 4.0 trở lên của chứng chỉ IELTS cũng do Hội đồng khảo thí tiếng Anh của Đại học Cambridge – Vương quốc Anh thiết kế.

Chính những tác động của những chủ trương khuyến khích việc học ngoại ngữ và nâng cao trình độ ngoại ngữ nói chung và tiếng Anh nói riêng của Nhà nước ta trong thời gian qua cũng như việc Việt Nam mở rộng mối quan hệ hữu nghị và hợp tác với các nước trên thế giới đã làm cho việc học Tiếng Anh và thi các chứng chỉ quốc tế ở nước ta ngày càng trở nên phổ biến. Mỗi năm riêng ở Việt Nam hiện có khoảng 100.000 thí sinh tham dự các kỳ thi chứng chỉ Tiếng Anh quốc tế của Cambridge ở tất cả các cấp độ, dẫn đầu Đông Nam Á về số lượng thí sinh tham gia dự thi (theo số liệu thống kê của Cơ Quan khảo thí ĐH Cambridge được công bố vào tháng 9 năm 2016 vừa qua.)

Tôi muốn nói rằng các em nhỏ của chúng ta đang ngồi đây, không những là những công dân của đất nước Việt Nam thân yêu mà còn là những thành viên trong cộng đồng những người nói tiếng Anh trên toàn thế giới. Tiếng Anh sẽ là một công cụ đắc lực giúp các em mở mang kiến thức, mở rộng tầm nhìn ra thế giới và đồng thời hỗ trợ hiệu quả cho công việc làm ăn và tạo dựng sự nghiệp sau này của các em. Một lần nữa tôi muốn tất cả chúng ta hãy dành thêm một tràng pháo tay để khen tặng và động viên các em. (Vỗ tay)
