Thiết kế dựa trên hai khối chính tạo nên cảnh quan tổng thể của toàn bộ công trình, bao gồm: Khối triển lãm là tổ hợp các khu trưng bày, triển lãm với khoảng 300 gian hàng và có 50 gian hàng trưng bày thường xuyên, được thiết kế với kiến trúc mái vòm dạng vỏ ốc, mặt bằng hình ô van có chiều cao khoảng 21,5m. Bên cạnh đó khối này còn có hội trường lớn với quy mô 1.000 chỗ ngồi, khu dịch vụ, các phòng họp, hội thảo và rạp chiếu phim nhỏ…
Khối thứ hai là Khối trưng bày quy hoạch với tiết diện liên tục thay đổi, hình vòng cung lớn trải dài từ Đông sang Tây. Trong đó, có sảnh và khu trưng bày quy hoạch, khu dịch vụ giải khát, văn phòng đại diện… Ngoài ra, bên ngoài 2 khối này còn có khu trưng bày triển lãm ngoài trời với khoảng 350 gian hàng, sân đường nội bộ, bãi để xe, cây xanh, thảm cỏ, đài phun nước…
Công trình cung quy hoạch, hội chợ và triển lãm tỉnh cơ bản hoàn thành đánh dấu gần 20 tháng triển khai thi công của một công trình trọng điểm bậc nhất, mang vóc dáng tầm cỡ quốc gia và quốc tế. Theo chủ đầu tư, đến nay các hạng mục công trình đang trong giai đoạn vận hành thử. Từ ngày 3/10, công trình sẽ được tổng nghiệm thu dưới sự giám sát của cục Kiểm định (Bộ Xây dựng) và sẽ hoàn thành xong trước ngày 15/10 để đưa vào khai thác, sử dụng.
