Dư nợ trung dài hạn chủ yếu tài trợ cho các dự án lớn do Chi nhánh tham gia đồng tài trợ cho dự án thủy điện Sơn La và dự án nhà máy lọc dầu Dung quất; chính vì vậy để thực hiện nghiêm túc chủ trương và sự chỉ đạo của ngân hàng trung ương, Chi nhánh đã chuyển dịch cơ cấu dư nợ cho vay để tài trợ cho nhu cầu thiết yếu đó là vốn lưu động cho doanh nghiệp và các nhu cầu cần thiết cho hộ cá thể sản xuất kinh doanh.
