Tân Bộ trưởng Quốc phòng Nhật Bản, bà Tomomi Inada, ngày 8/8 đã chỉ thị cho Các Lực lượng phòng vệ (SDF) sẵn sàng bắn hạ bất kỳ vật thể nào hướng vào lãnh thổ nước này, nhằm đề phòng khả năng Triều Tiên phóng tên lửa.

Theo hãng tin Kyodo, chỉ thị trên của Bộ trưởng Inada dường như nhằm đảm bảo rằng SDF sẵn sàng ngăn chặn các vật thể bất kỳ lúc nào do việc sử dụng các bệ phóng di động có thể khiến việc phát hiện Triều Tiên chuẩn bị phóng tên lửa gặp khó khăn.
