Garmisch-Partenkirchen is the mountain resort town in Bavaria, southern Germany, in the heart of the Alpine mountains. Initially, Garmisch-Partenkirchen is two different towns but was amalgamated under a decision of Adolf Hitler Nazi bosses to bring the Winter Olympics to Germany in 1936. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) when it was deprived of the right of host Germany for the reason there aren't enough hotel rooms in the town. Thus, Hitler had incorporated towns of Garmisch and Partenkirchen to create a new town, to meet the requirements of the IOC.
