Một trong những động vật hoang dã nằm trong sách đỏ Việt Nam và đang có nguy cơ tuyệt chủng đó là voọc chà vá chân đỏ. Những sinh vật này sống ở các khu rừng tự nhiên và khu bảo tồn thiên nhiên. Ở Việt Nam, chúng sống chủ yếu ở các khu rừng nhiệt đới vùng Bắc Trường Sơn,như dãy núi Bạch Mã hay núi Sơn Trà ở Đà Nẵng. Loài vật này có thân dài, mảnh dẻ và chân có màu đỏ. Chúng sống theo bầy đàn từ 4 đến 11 con. Giống như loài khỉ, vộoc chà vá sinh hoạt hoàn toàn trên cây cối và chủ yếu vào ban ngày. Nhờ vào kĩ năng nhào lộn điêu luyện, chúng có thể di chuyển từ cây này sang cây khác một cách dễ dàng và nhanh lẹ.
Thức ăn chủ yếu của chúng là lá non , mềm, các loại hoa qủa và hạt. Điều nổi bật ở loài vật này là tinh thần đoàn kết của chúng, chúng sẵn sàng chia sẻ đồ ăn cho nhau và ăn cùng nhau chứ không tranh giành.
Không khó để quan sát loài vọc chà vá chân đỏ trong môi trường hoang dã mặc dù chúng rất hiếm. Bạn có thể bắt gặp chúng đang kiếm ăn trên các cành cây hay bên bờ suối vào buổi sáng khi đi bộ xuyên rừng khám phá thiên nhiên.
