Dinh Độc Lập (còn gọi là dinh Thống Nhất) là một di tích có giá trị cao về mặt kiến trúc và là nơi lưu giữ nhiều dấu ấn của lịch sử Việt Nam. Dinh được người Pháp xây dựng năm 1868 và hoàn thành năm 1871.
25/6/1976 Bộ trưởng Bộ Văn hóa công nhận Dinh Độc Lập là Di tích lịch sử văn hóa quốc gia.
12/8/2009 được thủ tướng chính phủ Việt Nam xếp hạng là một trong 10 di tích quốc gia đầu tiên của cả nước.
Dinh Độc Lập mở cửa đón khách du lịch từ năm 1990 và hiện nay, mỗi ngày có hàng nghìn lượt khách trong nước và quốc tế tới tham quan.
