Tại Việt Nam, Liên minh bảo vệ chó châu Á cũng đang triển khai chiến dịch “Về đi chó Vàng ơi” kêu gọi cộng đồng chung tay chống lại nạn buôn lậu và trộm cắp chó bằng việc đóng góp chữ ký trình lên Chính phủ xin ban hành quy định về phúc lợi động vật và những điều luật nhằm hạn chế việc tiếp tay cho tội phạm ăn trộm, buôn lậu chó.
