1. Thương mại giữa Việt nam và Nga được dự báo sẽ tăng nhanh sau khi Nga gia nhập Tổ chức Thương mại Thế giới và Hiệp định Tự do Thương mại giữa Việt Nam và Nga được ký kết vào năm tới.

2. Trong những năm gần đây, thương mại song phương giữa Việt Nam và Nga vẫn tiếp tục tăng bất chấp tác động của cuộc khủng hoảng kinh tế toàn cầu. Tổng kim ngạch xuất nhập khẩu giữa hai nước đã đạt 2,5 tỷ đôla Mỹ.

3. Hàng hoá Việt Nam sẽ dể dàng thâm nhập vào thị trường Nga hơn khi hai nước ký kết Hiệp định Tự do Thương mại với việc dỡ bỏ các hàng rào thuế quan và phi thuế quan giữa hai nước.

4. Nga và Việt Nam có thể sẽ khởi động các cuộc đàm phán về Hiệp định Tự do Thương mại vào cuối năm 2015. Ngoài ra, Nga cũng mong muốn ký kết Hiệp định Tự do Thương mại với các nước thành viên khác trong khối ASEAN.

5. Việt Nam chủ yếu xuất khẩu nông sản, thiết bị điện, đồ gổ sang Nga trong khi nhập khẩu từ Nga thép, sắt, phân bón, máy móc và quặng kim loại.
