Hoạt động của ngành nhựa nói chung phụ thuộc vào nguyên liệu đầu vào khi chi phí nguyên vật liệu chiếm đến 70%-75% giá thành sản phẩm. Mặc dù công ty ký hợp đồng sau đó mới tiến hành mua nguyên liệu nhưng nếu giá nguyên liệu tăng mạnh công ty sẽ khó duy trì được biên lợi nhuận.
