Các vòm cuốn được thiết kế gác lên hai hàng cột ở hai bên của lối đi giữa giáo đường và nối từ các hàng cột này sang các cột liền tường tạo hiệu quả thẩm mỹ cao.
Trong thiết kế nội thất công trình, Brunelleschi đã khéo léo vận dụng nhiều yếu tố cổ điển như: những thức cột Corinth, mái vòm bán cầu…tạo nên vẻ đẹp hoàn hảo cho không gian nội thất của công trình.
