Cùng với sự phát triển của công nghệ thông tin, sinh viên ngày này càng trở nên dễ dàng hơn trong việc tiếp cận các nguồn thông tin qua internet. Không thể phủ nhận những ích lợi của Internet nhưng tôi cho rằng các thư viện vẫn đóng 1 vai trò quan trọng trong cuộc sống ngày nay.
Có nhiều lí do để thấy rằng việc tiếp cận các nguồn thông tin trên mạng là có nhiều lợi ích. Đầu tiên, các nguồn thông tin trên internet là vô tận, chúng ta có thể dễ dàng tìm thấy bất kì thông tin nào mình cần chỉ trong vòng một giây. Nếu như con bạn bị ốm thì việc tìm hiểu cách thức chữa bệnh trên mạng sẽ dễ dàng hơn nhiều so việc tìm một cuốn sách trong thư viện. Bên cạnh đó trái với việc thư viện chỉ mở cửa những giờ nhất định thì thông tin trên mạng luôn available mọi lúc mọi nơi. Việc tiếp cận những nguồn thông tin trên internet càng trở nên phổ biến hơn trong xã hội bận rộn ngày nay.
Tuy nhiên chúng ta không thể phủ nhận hoàn toàn những ích lợi mà thư viện mang lại. Nếu bạn đang tìm kiếm một không gian yên tĩnh để có thể học tập hay tập trung vào công việc hay đơn giản là thả hồn vào những trang sách thì thư viện là một lựa chọn không thể bỏ qua. Rất nhiều người chỉ có thể tập trung vào công việc khi không khí xung quanh thật sự yên tĩnh. Bên cạnh đó với những người yêu thích sách như tôi thì việc cầm trên những quyển sách sẽ thú vị hơn rất nhiều so với việc đọc chúng ở trên máy tính hay điện thoại. Cuối cùng kể từ khi internet là một không gian mở thì ai cũng có thể đưa thông tin được lên đó nên không chắc chắn hoàn toàn những thứ đó là đáng tin cậy. Những cuốn sách luôn là sự lựa chọn phù hợp cho mọi người tìm nguồn tài liệu để tham khảo.
Để kết luận, trong khi tôi phải thừa nhận việc tiếp cận những thông tin trên mạng có những lợi ích nhất định của nó, nhưng không phải thư viện đã đánh mất sự quan trọng của nó trong cuộc sống hiện nay.
