 Đáng chú ý, nợ xấu tăng cao, đặc biệt là nợ có khả năng mất vốn. Số nợ xấu của BIDV tính đến thời điểm ngày 30/6/2015 tăng vọt lên 14.206 tỷ đồng, tăng 56% so với đầu năm, chiếm 2,74% trên tổng dư nợ. Nợ dưới tiêu chuẩn tăng 47% và nợ có khả năng mất vốn tăng 80%.

 Trước đó, ông Trần Bắc Hà, Chủ tịch HĐQT BIDV cũng đã phát biểu rằng sau sáp nhập nợ xấu có thể gia tăng nhưng nếu có thì chắc chắn đến ngày 31/12 nợ xấu ngân hàng sẽ ở mức dưới 3%


 Về chất lượng nợ tại Vietinbank, tổng số nợ xấu sau 6 tháng tăng lên 6.977 tỷ đồng, chiếm 1,45% trên tổng dự nợ, tăng so với mức 1,1% đầu năm. Trong đó đáng chú ý nợ có khả năng mất vốn tăng 88% từ 2.084 lên 3.923 tỷ đồng.
 Tỷ lệ nợ xấu tại Vietcombank cũng tăng lên 2,48% trong đó nợ có khả năng mất vốn tăng 27% so với cuối năm 2014

 Về nhân sự trong 6 tháng đầu năm, số lượng nhân sự tại BIDV tăng gần 20%, tăng thêm 3.800 người. Sở dĩ nhân sự ngân hàng này tăng mạnh vì thời gian qua, BIDV đã nhận sáp nhập ngân hàng MHB. Vietcombank tăng 2,12% tương đương tăng 299 người và Vietinbank tăng 46 người, tỷ lệ tăng 0,23%.
