Từ 1927 -1929 chùa vinh dự được hai lần đón cụ Phó bảng Nguyễn Sinh Sắc, thân sinh Bác Hồ, nhiều lần ghé lại tá túc. Trong 2 cuộc kháng chiến chống Pháp và chống Mỹ, chùa Tuyên Linh nuôi dưỡng và che đậy cán bộ cách mạng. Vì thế chùa đã 2 lần bị máy bay ném bom, đốt chùa. Sau đó chùa được trùng tu lại nhiều lần trên nền đất cũ.

Năm 1994 chùa được chứng nhận di tích lịch sử cấp quốc gia. Vào ngày 19/5 hàng năm nơi đây diễn ra nhiều lễ hội và mít tinh kỷ niệm ngày sinh của Bác Hồ.

3. Lăng mộ Nguyễn Đình Chiểu

6. Cồn Ốc

Cồn Ốc thuộc xã Hưng Phong, huyện Giồng Trôm, tỉnh Bến Tre, cách TP. Bến Tre khoảng hơn 10km. Cồn Ốc có chiều dài khoảng 8,3km. Trên cồn có nhiều vườn dừa và vườn cây ăn quả.
