Trong bối cảnh toàn cầu hóa truyền thông đại chúng, sự giao lưu giữa các dân tộc không chỉ mở ra theo chiều rộng mà mạnh mẽ cả về chiều sâu. Toàn cầu hóa truyền thông đại chúng là kết quả tất yếu của việc mở rộng các hình thức giao lưu của loài người, nó nhất định sẽ dẫn đến sự chuyển đổi về hình thức tư duy và quan niệm giá trị. Nét nổi bật của quá trình toàn cầu hóa truyền thông đại chúng là sự mở rộng quy mô ảnh hưởng, thu hẹp không gian và thời gian giao tiếp đã tạo ra cơ hội cho các dân tộc, cộng đồng người có thể tiếp cận với các phương tiện truyền thông đại chúng. Nhờ đó mà công chúng có thể tiếp cận thông tin từ các phương tiện truyền thông đại chúng ngày càng dễ dàng hơn, thuận lợi hơn.
