Phiên bản Galaxy A5 (2016) đã hoàn toàn lột xác so với phiên bản năm ngoái cả về thiết kế bên ngoài lẫn cấu hình bên trong. Máy có thiết kế chắc chắn với độ hoàn thiện tốt, màn hình AMOLED đẹp, hiệu năng mượt mà với nhu cầu cơ bản tuy chưa đủ mạnh để xử lý thực sự tốt các game đồ nặng đồ hoạ và camera có khả năng chụp ảnh nhanh với chất lượng tốt. Đặc biệt, thời lượng pin là điểm sáng giá của điện thoại này.

Với mức giá hiện tại 9 triệu đồng (nhiều nơi bán khoảng 8 triệu đồng) thì Galaxy A5 của năm nay đã hợp lý hơn, không quá cao như năm ngoái. Có thể nói đây là một lựa chọn tốt trong phân khúc máy chính hãng tầm trung hiện nay.
