Những số liệu thống kê trên cho thấy THA là bệnh mạn tính nguy hiểm đe dọa nghiêm trọng đến sức khỏe và tính mạng của con người nhưng việc tuân thủ chế độ dùng thuốc đúng chưa được thực hiện và quan tâm đúng mức. Với tốc độ gia tăng cũng như trẻ hóa về nhóm tuổi mắc bệnh như hiện nay nếu không có những biện pháp hữu hiệu để ngăn chặn và phòng ngừa thì trong tương lai chúng ta sẽ đối mặt với thảm họa về bệnh tật và tử vong do tăng huyết áp gây ra và gánh nặng về kinh tế cho việc điều trị bệnh. Do đó, việc tuân thủ dùng thuốc trên người bệnh tăng huyết áp là vấn đề chúng tôi quan tâm nhất hiện nay. Đã có một số nghiên cứu về sự tuân thủ dùng thuốc trên người bệnh tăng huyết áp nhưng hiện tại thì chưa có nghiên cứu nào được tiến hành tại Bệnh viện Quận Thủ Đức. Chính vì vậy, chúng tôi muốn thực hiện đề tài này để khảo sát sự tuân thủ dùng thuốc của người bệnh có chuẩn đoán tăng huyết áp đến khám và điều trị tại bệnh viện với mục tiêu nghiên cứu như sau:
