Áo dài, Việt Nam
Áo dài là trang phục truyền thống dành cho mọi lứa tuổi ở Việt Nam. Trước đây cả nam và nữ đều mặc nhưng ngày nay hình ảnh người phụ nữ nền nã trong tà áo dài được thấy nhiều hơn.


Với người Việt, áo dài là trang phục kín đáo nhưng đầy sự quyến rũ. Loại trang phục này được sử dụng nhiều nhất trong các dịp lễ trang trọng như ăn hỏi, cưới xin, tốt nghiệp... Chính vì sự đơn giản, không cầu kỳ mà một số trường học hay công ty, áo dài còn được quy định làm đồng phục.
Áo dài gồm hai phần riêng biệt là quần lụa hay vải mềm và phần áo cổ cao với tà dài. Tùy vào sự sáng tạo cũng như sở thích của người mặc mà áo dài có nhiều cách tân. Ví dụ như tà áo được may làm hai lớp, cổ áo được thiết kế tròn, vải may áo đính thêm kim sa hoặc pha lê... Tuy nhiên, về cơ bản tất cả đều tạo được sự duyên dáng và nhẹ nhàng cho người mặc.

Kimono, Nhật Bản
Trong tiếng nhật Kimono có nghĩa là hòa phục nghĩa, là danh từ chỉ quần áo để mặc nói chung. Tuy nhiên ngày nay, kimono đã trở thành cái tên chỉ trang phục truyền thống của Nhật Bản được nhiều người biết tới.


Trước đây, Kimono được cả nam và nữ sử dụng hàng ngày. Nhưng ngày nay thường chỉ có nữ giới sử dụng như nghi phục chính thức còn nam giới chỉ thấy trong các đám cưới hoặc dịp lễ truyền thống khác.
