Health examination:
Within the support from Quang Tri Happiness program, from the 8th of July to the 12th of July, 2015. Students and teachers from Yonsei university, Korea had some voluntary activities to take care of the health of community in Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district.
In the first day of health examination, from the early morning, hundred of children and the older concentrated at Hai Thuong middle school, Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district to be examined and screened the non – communicable diseases by students and teachers from Yonsei university as well as Quang Tri medical college. This is healthcare part – 1 of important parts in KOICA project which is implemented in Quang Tri province.
Interview: Through this program, when i bring my child to the examination, i feel very comfortable. Also, my child had chance to have eyesight examination, no need to go out for eyesight examination.
Beside health examination for community, experts from Yonsei university also organized a training to strengthen capacity and health knowledge for health providers, school staffs, youth union, students in Hai Thuong commune through games, group discussion about no – smoking; organized some activities to improve environment such as clean commune health center, school; painted wash hand picture in front of the school’s restroom, painting some community facilities, health exhibition, traditional games to exchange Viet Nam – Korea culture.
Interview: To improve health condition of residents of 7 communes, all activies of project will focus on strengthening capacity about examination of 7 commune health centers.
During the fisrt day of voluntary activities for taking care of the health of Hai Thuong commune of KOICA. There were nearly 500 people who were examined about non – communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart diseases, etc. Although those diseases are non – communicable, they have big bad effects to patients and community as well. Therefore, these health examination activities have purposes : early detecting and finding high risk group so that people can have plan for treatment on time.
Cultural day:
Coming from far country – Korea, 22 volunteers students from Yonsei university organized many useful and active activites in Hai Thuong comune, Hai Lang district. All of them had very good impression to all resident here. These activies are in the framework of Quang Tri Happiness program.
One of activities which attract the young in Hai Thuong commune is painting with subject : ‘ say no with smoking”. For a long time, this message was mentioned by Vietnamese young as well as Korea young so that they can improve the life. Hundred of posters were concentrated and presented so that the drawers could express their messega through the pictures.
Interview : This is the first time I have seen Korean. They are very positive, happy when helping us to get more knowledge. Also, I really hope that all of them will come here many times.
The focus point in this program is the bazzar where sell clothes, shoes, school things from Korea. These productions were sold with suitable price. Also, they were brough from Korea by volunteers. As know, all of money in this bazzar will be donated for patients in Hai Thuong commune ưho are treating about non – communicable diseases in Hue hospital. Because of this humanitarian purpose, the bazaar really more attract. All the seller as well as buyer really happy when they can support this meaningful activities.
Interview: during this time, in Hai Thuong commune, Hai Lang district, all resident as well as students here are very friendly. We implemented many activities together. This sumer camp is for everyone. All students are very smart and good, they can do everything. As you can see, all of this pictures – focus on health are made by students.
Ending the voluntary activities is the Korea – Vietnam traditional preformance. After the happy exchange activities, the holding hands become more closely, the smile of volunteers and people here are more shining. The distance of country, languales are more closely.
