Qua kết quả BLAST cho thấy nhóm vây dài là các mẫu được kí hiệu trong thí nghiệm gồm: D1, D2, D3...D15 có độ tương đồng cao 99-100% với trình tự gen COI của loài Trachinotus blochii có trên ngân hàng quốc tế. Bên cạnh đó, hai nhóm còn lại là vây ngắn và vây trung bình có độ tương đồng cao nhất với loài Trachinotus ovantus có trên ngân hàng gen quốc tế.
