FEALAC được thành lập với mục tiêu thúc đẩy hợp tác, tăng cường sự hiểu biết và đối thoại dựa trên phương diện chính trị và kinh tế giữa khu vực Đông Á và Mỹ La Tinh, thiết lập mối quan hệ hiệu quả, hợp tác và tốt đẹp trên mọi lĩnh vực.
