Ban hành kế hoạch phòng bệnh sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola

Ngày 7/8, Bộ Y tế đã có quyết định về việc ban hành Kế hoạch hành động phòng chống bệnh sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola tại Việt Nam nhằm phát hiện sớm trường hợp nhiễm bệnh sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola; xử lý kịp thời không để dịch lây lan, hạn chế đến mức thấp nhất các trường hợp tử vong.
Kế hoạch nêu rõ bệnh sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola là một bệnh truyền nhiễm cấp tính nguy hiểm có khả năng lây lan nhanh và tỷ lệ tử vong cao (có thể tới 90%).
Các loài tinh tinh, vượn người, khỉ rừng, linh dương, nhím châu Phi có thể là ổ chứa virus và có khả năng lây sang người. Người bệnh và người mang virus tiềm ẩn cũng có vai trò là nguồn truyền nhiễm trong chu kỳ lây từ người sang người.
Bộ Y tế cho biết đến ngày 1/8, Việt Nam chưa ghi nhận trường hợp mắc bệnh sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola.
Tuy nhiên căn cứ vào tình hình và đặc điểm dịch tễ của bệnh, nguy cơ dịch sốt xuất huyết do virus Ebola có thể xâm nhập vào Việt Nam cũng như có khả năng bùng phát thành dịch lớn tại cộng đồng nếu không chủ động các biện pháp phòng chống.
