Môi trường sống của nhiều loài động trên trái đất đang bị thu hẹp vì các hoạt động sản xuất của con người.Nhiều loài khác trở thành mục tiêu khai thác của của loài người như là voi để lấy ngà voi hay hổ để lấy da.Tôi muốn đề cập đến loài tê giác châu Phi. theo thống kê thì chỉ trong vòng 40 năm qua số lượng tê giác đã giảm đi 95 phần trăm, nguyên nhân là sự đô thị hóa và việc bắt tê giác để cắt sừng của chúng. Con người cho rằng sừng của tê giác có một số tác dụng trong việc cải thiện sức khỏe, tuy nhiên trên thực tế thì những chiếc sừng này không khác biệt gì tóc của chúng ta hay khác sừng của một con trâu. Vì thế các nhà khoa học dự đoán rằng trong vòng 6 năm nữa, tê giác sẽ tuyệt chủng. Theo tôi, đây là lúc chúng ta cần bảo vệ loài này ngay, một số biện pháp như là đưa các cá thể còn lại vào các khu bảo tồn, tuyên truyền cho mọi người không mua sừng tê giác và xử phạt nặng đối với những ai vi phạm.
