Môi trường sống đang là sự quan tâm mang tính toàn cầu. Mà vấn đề ô nhiễm môi trường sống của con người ở Việt Nam nói riêng và trên thế giới nói chung đang là một vấn đề cấp bách cần được giải quyết. Ô nhiễm môi trường và những tác hại của nó đối với cuộc sống ngày càng nặng nề hơn. Do đó việc bảo vệ môi trường xanh – sạch – đẹp là nhiệm vụ của tất cả mọi người. Chúng ta cần nhận thức vấn đề này như thế nào? Thực trạng, nguyên nhân, hậu quả, và giải pháp để giải quyết vấn đề này thế nào là một vấn đề cần được bàn luận.

Môi trường sống của con người là một khái niệm rộng. Nó bao gồm tất cả các yếu tố tự nhiên và vật chất nhân tạo bao quanh con người, có ảnh hưởng đến cuộc sống, sản xuất, sự tồn tại, phát triển của con người và mọi sinh vật trên trái đất bao gồm địa hình, địa chất, đất trồng, khí hậu, nước, sinh vật,.. Môi trường quen thuộc và gần gũi với chúng ta như những người bạn thân thiết không thể thiếu được trong cuộc đời. Thế nhưng vì lợi ích trước mắt, con người đã đối xử tàn tệ với môi trường, thậm chí cố tình hủy hoại môi trường mà không biết rằng làm như vậy là tự hủy hoại cuộc sống của chính mình.

Vậy thực trạng môi trường hiên này như thế nào?

Những năm gần đây, đã có thêm nhiều số liệu nói về tình trang ô nhiễm môi trường ở các nước trên thế giới. Nhưng đáng buồn thay, đó là những con số gây thất vọng…
Không ở đâu xa, ngay ở nước Việt Nam chúng ta, đã có những dấu hiệu làm ô nhiễm môi trường một cách nghiêm trọng. Theo bản tổng kết môi trường toàn cầu do Chương trình Môi trường Liên Hợp Quốc thì Hà Nội và Tp. HCM nằm trong danh sách 6 thành phố ô nhiễm không khí nghiêm trọng nhất thế giới.
Không những vậy, tình trạng quy hoạch các khu đô thị chưa gắn với vấn đề xử lý chất thải, nước thải nên ô nhiễm môi trường ở các thành phố lớn, các khu công nghiệp, khu đô thị đang ở mức báo động. Hiện nay nhiều nơi trên thế giới và đặc biệt là Việt Nam đối mặt với nguy cơ rơi vào trình trạng ô nhiễm nguồn nước, nhu cầu về nước uống và nước sinh hoạt ở nhiều vùng miền đang bị thiếu nghiêm trọng, số lượng người được sử dụng nước sạch chiếm tỉ lệ không lớn.
Không chỉ có môi trường nước mà môi trường không khí và môi trường đất cũng bị ô nhiễm nghiêm trọng. Môi trường không khí ở hầu hết các đô thị Việt Nam đều vượt quá tiêu chuẩn cho phép. Các nhà máy đã và đang thải ra môi trường không khí một nguồn cacbonnic khổng lồ, các loại axit, các loại khí gây hiệu ứng nhà kính, khói bụi xe hơi và các loại động cơ khác,... đã ảnh hưởng xấu đến sức khoẻ và chất lượng cuộc sống của con người, nó gây ra nhiều bệnh về đường hô hấp,...
Về môi trường đất, kết quả của một số khảo sát cho thấy hàm lượng kim loại nặng trong đất gần các khu công nghiệp đã tăng lên trong những năm gần đây. Thuốc bảo vệ thực vật cũng gây ảnh hưởng đến đất. Mặc dù khối lượng thuốc bảo vệ thực vật được sử dụng ở Việt nam còn ít, trung bình từ 0,5-1,0 kg/ha/năm, tuy nhiên, ở nhiều nơi đã phát hiện dư lượng thuốc bảo vệ thực vật trong đất. Đất đai ngày càng bị thoái hoá, bị rửa trôi, rác thải công nghiệp, rác thải sinh hoạt, rác thải bệnh viện,... đã và đang làm cho nguồn đất đai bị cạn kiệt, khô cằn....

Vậy nguyên nhân của những sự việc trên là do đâu?
Đầu tiên, đó chính là sự thiếu ý thức nghiêm trọng của nhiều người dân mà đặc biệt là các bạn trẻ. Ngay ở những việc làm nhỏ bé của các bạn mà ta có thế bắt gặp dễ dàng ngay khi đi ngoài đường như ăn xong một cái bánh hay uống xong một lon nước, bạn tiện tay vứt thẳng xuống vỉa hè, hay ăn xong cây kẹo su bạn trét lên các ghế đá trong công viên… Hơn thế nữa, nhiều người còn chặt phá rừng, đốn cây trái phép, đốt rừng làm nương rẫy. Nhiều người nghĩ rằng những việc mình làm như vậy là quá nhỏ bé, không đủ để làm hại môi trường. Một số người khác lại cho rằng việc bảo vệ môi trường là trách nhiệm của nhà nước, của chính quyền mà không phải là của mình. Số khác lại nghĩ rằng việc môi trường đã bị ô nhiễm thì có làm gì đi chăng nữa cũng không đáng kể, và việc ô nhiễm môi trường cũng không ảnh hưởng gì tới mình nhiều…Thấy vậy nhưng không phải vậy! Việc phá hoại môi trường của một người tuy chỉ ảnh hưởng nhỏ nhưng tập hợp nhiều người lại là lớn. Trách nhiệm bảo vệ môi trường tuy cũng có một phần là của nhà nước nhưng đa phần lại là của người dân. Và những việc chúng ta làm đối với môi trường, tuy hiện giờ ta chưa thấy được, nhưng về lâu về dài nó sẽ ảnh hưởng tới ta ít nhiều.
Một nguyên nhân khác gây ra ô nhiễm môi trường chính là sự thiếu trách nhiệm của các doanh nghiệp. Do đặt nặng mục tiêu tối đa hóa lợi nhuận, không ít doanh nghiệp đã vi phạm quy trình khai thác, góp phần đáng kể gây ô nhiễm môi trường. Bên cạnh đó, chính sự chưa chặt chẽ trong việc quản lý bảo vệ môi trường của nhà nước cũng đã tiếp tay cho các hành vi phá hoại môi trường tiếp diễn. Ngoài ra, lượng xe cô lưu thông ngày càng nhiều ở nước ta cũng góp phần không nhỏ vào việc gây ô nhiễm bầu không khí.

Cũng chính vì những việc làm trên mà con người chúng ta đã phải tự gánh lấy những hậu quả khi môi trường bị ô nhiễm. Môi trường ô nhiễm làm khí hậu Trái Đất đang nóng dần lên một cách bất thường và càng ngày càng khắc nghiệt hơn là nguyên nhân dẫn tới những thiên tai như giông bão, sóng thần, lở núi, lũ quét, lũ bùn, hạn hán… ngày càng dồn dập xảy ra trên khắp thế giới, để lại những tác hại ghê gớm khôn lường về của cải và tính mạng. Chính vì vậy, ngay từ bây giờ, mọi người chúng ta phải tự cứu lấy cuộc sống của chính bản thân mình bằng việc cứu lấy môi trường. Thứ nhất, phải có các hình thức xử phạt thật nặng và nghiêm minh đối với các cá nhân, tổ chức, cơ quan có hành vi phá hoại môi trường, làm ảnh hưởng tới cuộc sống của người dân. Bên cạnh đó, cũng cần giáo dục ý thức cho người dân qua các hình thức tuyên truyền, cổ động như tổ chức những buổi giao lưu bàn về vấn đề môi trường tại các đơn vị hành chính cấp phường, xã…Đưa những bài viết chi tiết hơn về môi trường trong các sách giáo khoa ngay từ cấp tiểu học, giúp học sinh có thái độ và cái nhìn đúng đắn về môi trường và những hậu quả của việc phá hoại môi trường, từ đó giúp các em biết yêu và bảo vệ môi trường mình đang sống. Một cách khác để giúp bảo vệ môi trường phát động thường xuyên hơn những phong trào tình nguyện như bảo vệ môi trường khu dân cư, dọn rác ở các khu vực công cộng, làm sạch bãi biển…Bên cạnh việc nghiêm cấm chặt phá rừng là việc trồng cây gây rừng phải được làm thường xuyên, liên tục để phủ xanh đất trống đồi trọc, duy trì lá phổi xanh cho Trái Đất, tạo sự cân bằng sinh thái cho môi trường. Môi trường sống bị ô nhiễm nghiêm trọng đã và đang đưa ra những lời cảnh báo dữ dội đối với loài người. Hãy bảo vệ môi trường sống như bảo vệ cuộc sống của chính chúng ta !
