Hiện nay, Việt nam có nguồn lao động trẻ và dồi dào, tuy nhiên nâng suất lao động Việt Nam thấp hơn các nước trong khu vực như thấp hơn Singapore 15 lần. Trong 3 năm 2011-2013 tốc độ tăng năng suất lao động là 3% , trong khi GDP tăng 5% , điều đó có nghĩa là năng suất lao động tăng chậm hơn GDP quốc gia. Nhu cầu tuyển dụng nhân sự có trình độ của Vinamit là rất lớn trong khi tình hình nhân sự tại Việt Nam không đáp ứng yêu cầu về chất lượng. Ngoài ra, sinh viên theo học tại các trường các khoa nông nghiệp cũng giảm đáng kể. Điều đó gây khó khăn cho Vinamit trong quá trình tuyển dụng và đào tạo nhân viên. Bên cạnh đó, một số nhân viên có kinh nghiệm có xu hướng chuyển sang các công ty nước ngoài có lương hấp dẫn, môi trường làm việc tốt hơn. Điều này ảnh hướng rất lớn đến quá trình hoạt động của công ty, nếu công ty không có các chính sách để quản lý nhân sự hiệu quả hơn .
