Kỳ họp lần thứ 34 ủy ban di sản thế giới UNESCO họp tại Brasilia thủ đô của Brasil, đã thông qua nghị quyết công nhận khu Trung tâm hoàng thành Thăng Long-Hà Nội là di sản văn hóa thế giới. Nghị quyết này được thông qua vào lúc 20h30, 31/7/2010 theo giờ địa phương, tức 6h30 ngày 1/8/2010 theo giờ Việt Nam
