Trong năm 2015, lễ vinh danh Danh nhân văn hóa thế giới Nguyễn Du sẽ diễn ra trên phạm vi toàn thế giới nhân dịp kỷ niệm 250 năm ngày sinh của vị đại thi hào này. Nhân sự kiện đặc biệt này, Tổ chức Kỷ lục Việt Nam (Vietkings) đã chính thức xác lập thêm 5 kỷ lục Việt Nam và đề cử kỷ lục thế giới cho Truyện Kiều của Nguyễn Du. Truyện Kiều đã chinh phục bao thế hệ công chúng hơn 200 năm qua. Các nhân vật của Truyện Kiều đều có một sức sống mãnh liệt.
Với số lượng 26 kỷ lục quốc gia và con số này vẫn chưa dừng lại, Truyện Kiều của Nguyễn Du vừa được Tổ chức Kỷ lục Việt Nam đề cử lên Liên minh Kỷ lục Thế giới để xác lập kỷ lục thế giới về 'Tác phẩm văn học tạo nên nhiều kỷ lục quốc gia nhất'.
