Trong lễ kỷ niệm 6 năm thành lập Trường, lần đầu tiên toàn thể cán bộ và giảng viên của trường đã cùng tham gia vào một lễ hội văn hóa đặc sắc – Lễ hội ẩm thực dân gian 3 miền. Bắt đầu từ năm này, ngày 24/6 chính thức trở thành Ngày truyền thống của Trường với nhiều hoạt động độc đáo nhằm thắt chặt tình đồng nghiệp giữa CB-GV nhà trường, hướng đến xây dựng cộng đồng Đại học Thủ Dầu Một “thống nhất trong đa dạng”.
