Hiện nay, việc sử dụng máy tính hầu như đã phổ biến ở mọi lúc mọi nơi trong tất cả các lĩnh vực của cuộc sống.Và không nằm ngoài xu hướng đó thì việc ứng dụng máy tính vào việc dạy và học ở tất cả các trường ngày một phổ biến.Không thể phủ nhận lợi ích của ứng dụng máy tính đem lại cho việc dạy và học.Nhưng việc quá lạm dụng vào máy tính dẫn tới có một bộ phận lớn học sinh- sinh viên kỹ năng đọc và viết là chưa tốt và nói thẳng ra là rất kém. Do dành toàn bộ thời gian cho việc sử dụng máy tính mà thời gian cho việc học theo phương pháp truyền thống là hầu như không có. Dẫn đến sự sai lệch trong ngôn từ, diễn đạt không đúng câu văn, đoạn văn nào đó. Việc lạm máy tính trọng việc dạy sẽ dẫn đến tình trạng chuyển từ “đọc chép” sang “nhìn chép” ở trường học. Đây là phương pháp dạy học nhồi nhét, làm thui chột khả năng tư duy sáng tạo của người học.
