Họ thường không thân thiện, có những suy nghĩ tiêu cực về những người ở khu vực, chủng tộc, màu da,… khác với họ. Điều này được duy trì từ đời này sang đời khác và nó dường như ăn sâu vào trong tiềm thức của họ. Chính vì điều này, ngày nay ta có thể thấy rằng những người hàng xóm thường không mấy thân thiện và không tin tưởng lẫn nhau.
