Textiles always is one of the leading industry, has an important role in the strategy of the export of goods of Vietnam. Along with the process of international economic integration of Vietnam, the industry has made a gigantic leap. The export growth rate is rather high, the industry has made no small contribution to the growth of commodity exports and economic growth in General. The financial crisis and global recession only makes this group's export fell slightly, but not as much as the other main export commodities of Vietnam. Textile export achievements in recent time has partly from the Vietnam trade liberalization initiative through the process of regional economic integration and the world, that the most important point is the WTO. Thanks to this process, the textile business had better access to export markets, and be better protected under the regulations of the WTO, as well as of the trade agreements. At present, the Government has also strategically developed textile industry until 2015, with a vision to 2020.
