Báo cáo Thương mại điện tử Việt Nam 2014 do Cục Thương mại điện tử và Công nghệ thông tin – Bộ Công Thương công bố, báo cáo tập trung tổng hợp, phân tích những chủ trương, chính sách thúc đẩy ứng dụng thương mại điện tử, tổng hợp điều tra, phân tích về tình hình hoạt động của các doanh nghiệp thương mại điện tử, hiện trạng ứng dụng thương mại điện tử của cộng đồng trong nước và trên thế giới. Đặc biệt, Báo cáo năm nay dành hẳn một chương phân tích tình hình ứng dụng thương mại điện tử trên nền tảng thiết bị di động (mobile e-commerce). Đây được coi là xu hướng sẽ phát triển mạnh và dành được nhiều sự quan tâm của các doanh nghiệp và cộng đồng trong những năm tới.
Năm 2014 cũng có sự thay đổi đáng kể về luật liên quan tới ngành thương mại điện tử: Luật đầu tư số 67/2014/QH13 và Luật Doanh nghiệp số 68/2014/QH13, hai luật này có hiệu lực từ ngày 01 tháng 07 năm 2015. Về pháp luật chuyên ngành lĩnh vực TMĐT, ngày 05 tháng 12 năm 2014, Bộ Công Thương đã ban hành Thông tư số 47/2014/TTBCT quy định về quản lý website thương mại điện tử. Với sự ra đời của hai luật trên và Thông tư số 47/2014/TT-BCT, năm 2014 là năm đánh dấu nhiều thay đổi về khung pháp lý cho hoạt động TMĐT của Việt Nam.

This is considered the trend will develop strong and gained the attention of businesses and communities in the coming years.2014 also have significant changes in law related to the e-commerce sector: investment law No. 67/2014/QH13 and business law No. 68/2014/QH13, two laws in force from 1 July 2015. On the specialized field of EC law, December 2014, the Ministry of industry and commerce has issued Circular No. 47/2014/TTBCT regulations on e-commerce website management. With the advent of two laws on and circular No. 47/2014/TT-BCT, 2014 is five marked many changes on the legal framework for EC operations of Vietnam.
