Tổ chức phải theo dõi và đo lường các đặc tính của sản phẩm để kiểm tra xác nhận rằng các yêu cầu về sản phẩm được đáp ứng. Việc này phải được tiến hành tại những giai đoạn thích hợp của quá trình tạo sản phẩm theo các sắp xếp hoạch định (xem 7.1).
