tôi tên là Catherin, và bây giờ tôi sẽ nói một đôi điều tôi nhận định về văn hóa Việt nam. Các bạn biết đây, lần đầu tiên tôi đến Việt Nam, tôi thấy có rất nhiều điều khác biệt, đặc biệt là ở Hà nội. Vì Hà nội là nơi đầu tiên tôi đặt chân đến. Thoạt đầu, tôi bị sốc về vấn đề giao thông ở Hà nội. xe cộ thì ồn ào và mọi người thì luôn bóp còi xe inh ả và bản thân tôi chẳng thể nào đi qua đường được. Tuy nhiên, ở Úc, chúng tôi luôn có đèn giao thông vì thế khi muốn qua đường, chúng tôi chỉ cần đợi đèn xanh sáng thì tất cả những chiếc xe trên đường phải dừng lại để nhường đường cho chúng tôi đi qua. Thế nhưng điều đó lại không xảy ra ở đây, và đối với các thành phố như ở Đà nẵng, mặc dù đã có rất nhiều đèn giao thông nhưng vẫn có rất nhiều xe máy vượt đèn đỏ vì vậy tôi phải quan sát trước sau trước khi qua đường
Còn rất nhiều điều khác biệt giữa Úc và Việt nam, thứ nhất những gia đình ở Việt nam có thể ngồi với bạn bè hoặc chỉ người thân trong gia đình thường ngồi dưới sàn để dùng bữa trưa, tối. tuy nhiên đây là điều khó bất gặp ở Úc, chỉ những khi chúng tôi đi dã ngoại chúng tôi mới ngồi dưới đất và chúng tôi trải một tấm bạc sau đó để thức ăn trên đó và ăn. Tôi đã được mời đến một gia đình ở Việt nam và bữa ăn được dọn dưới nền nhà. mọi người ngồi quanh một chiếc mâm tròn và tôi cũng ngồi ở đó. Thức ăn được bày biện trên mâm như một chiếc đồng hồ. Đây là một thật thú vị nhưng cũng là điều lạ đối với người Úc vì ở nước chúng tôi chúng tôi thường ngồi ăn trên bàn.
Tôi cũng được biết về chiếc áo dài duyên dáng của người Việt nam mà các bạn gái thường mặc đến trường. và rất nhiều người khác trưng diện nó trong các dịp đặc biệt. Đây là một điểm rất khác biệt với nước Úc, bởi vì chúng tôi chỉ mặc đồ thoải mái khi đến trường như là quần jean, quần tây hoặc váy trong thời tiết oai bức. chúng tôi không mặc những thứ khiến cho mình cảm thấy khó chịu. Như tôi biết, khi mặc áo dài, mọi người sẽ cảm thấy chật chội và không thoải mái và rất nóng nực. Với những cô gái mang chiếc áo dài trắng trông họ thật duyên dáng, điệu đã hơn khi họ tảo mộ, hay lúc dạo chơi trên chiếc xe đạp
